The China-Uganda Industrial Capacity Cooperation Exposition, organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, kicks off at the Exhibition Center of Ugandan Manufacturing Industrial Association in Kampala, Uganda at 10 a.m., July 23, 2019. Chinese Ambassador to Uganda Zheng Zhuqiang and Economic Counsellor Zhao Xiufen, Director of Uganda Investment Authority, and Chairman of Uganda Industrial and Commercial Commission delivered speeches, and more than 200 guests from China, Uganda, Ethiopia, Mauritius, and Burundi also attended the opening ceremony.
As a main exhibitor, CWE fully mobilized local and Chinese resources to show recent achievements of CTG and CWE in the field of clean energy by brochures, exhibition boards, video clips, and the project sand table model. The general manager of CWE Ugandan Branch Xia Nenghai made a special introduction of the Isimba Hydropower Project undertaken by CWE as well as CTG/CWE’s business to Ambassador Zheng and main guests of Uganda at CWE’s booth.
42 Chinese exhibitors, such as CCCC and China Railway Group, were invited to the 4-day exposition. This exposition has played a positive role in further deepening the comprehensive partnership between China and Uganda, promoting production capacity cooperation in various fields between the two countries, and encouraging enterprises to participate in local investment.
