Guinean President Alpha Conde attended the opening ceremony and cut the ribbon for the Konkoure bridge, one of the resettlement bridges constructed by CWE, on January 25, 2020. Guinea Prime Minister Kassory Fofana, Minister of Energy Cheick Taliby Sylla, Minister of investment and other government officials participated in the ceremony along with the client’s engineer and heads of CWE GUINEE SARL.

President Conde highly praised CWE’s contribution to Guinean infrastructure development. His Excellency remarked that the completion of the resettlement bridge of Souapiti Project would  greatly improve the traffic at Souapiti Reservoir and contribute significantly to regional economy.

There are two resettlement bridges at the Souapiti project area. Previously, one bridge has been taken over by the client. The Konkoure bridge completed this time is 374 meters long with 18 spans. The highest bridge pier is 25.5 meters, making Konkoure bridge the highest concrete bridge in Guinea.
