The Project of Providing Sufficient Water Depth for Hong Kong Kwai Tsing Container Terminals includes providing sufficient water depth for Kwai Tsing Container Basin and part of the seabed of the northern and western waterways, covering the oceanic area of about 428 ha. The successful implementation of the Project met the cargo depth requirements of Kwai Tsing Container Basin in Hong Kong and helped enhance Hong Kong’s long-term competitiveness as an international shipping and trade hub.
