Aquatic Wildlife Protection Festival Held by Nam Lik Power Company Limited
On 16th July, 2013, Nam Lik Power Company Limited organized an Aquatic Wildlife Protection Festival in Laos with aims to fulfill corporate social and environmental responsibilities, promote protection of aquatic ecosystem, and advocate fish-farming for the benefit of local people and ecological environment.
Over 16 thousand fish fry were put into the downstream of the Nam Lik River, which attracted high attention from the local government and villagers. The deputy magistrate of Feuang District extended thanks to CWE for its efforts on protecting the Nam Lik River, developing fishery industry and improving the surrounding living environment.
As advocated by CTG and CWE, we consider that the development of hydropower shall be carried out in harmony with the local society, ecology and economy. Nam Lik Power Company Limited has been and will always be adhering to the establishment and maintenance of the ecology to contribute to a sustainable local society while promoting the economic development in Laos.
Xing Bin, Deputy Chief Engineer of CWE and Director of the Engineering Department, together with the operation team of Nam Lik Hydropower Station participated in the activity.
