The launching ceremony of Safety Month 2014 was held on site of the Rehabilitation of Makhi Complex and Khipro Canal Project in Pakistan on 31st May, 2014, attended by CWE’s project leaders, field staff and local employees.

Chen Huaiguang, CWE's Project Manager, delivered a mobilization speech at 8:00 in the morning, in which he read out CWE's notice on Safety Month 2014 and detailed activity plan. Mr. Chen called upon the project management to vigorously publicize safety policies, laws and regulations with focus on "strengthened awareness of the red line to enhance safety", and further promote the ideas of "hidden danger is accident" and the policy of "Safety First, Prevention Foremost, and Comprehensive Approach" to provide safety guarantee for a successful completion of the project.

During the project execution, CWE always put a top priority on safety in its management. Taking the "Safety Month" proposed by CTG and the company as an opportunity, CWE project management pledged to expand safety publicity and improve the safety awareness of all its staff so as to have the project safety under control.

After the mobilization speech, the participants also took part in a signing ceremony of the safety activity and a fire-fighting drill, which marked the commencement of "Safety Month" at the project.
