CWE awarded Guinness World Records

Recently, CWE was awarded the Guinness World Records for participation in the largest qigong lesson during the Construction Safety Week in Hong Kong.

 

Staff of CWE Hong Kong and more than 800 construction practitioners participated in this ceremony and other activities of the Construction Safety Week.

 

The Construction Safety Week 2014, organized jointly by the Development Bureau and the Construction Industry Council of Hong Kong, was held at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal and officiated by Mr. C. Y. Leung, Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR, Mr. Paul CHAN Mo-po, Secretary for the Development Bureau (DEVB), and Mr. Lee Shing See, Chairman of the Construction Industry Council, in Hong Kong on May 26, 2014. Staff of CWE Hong Kong took active part in this activity. Together with more than 800 construction practitioners, they followed the officiating guests in practicing fitness qigong “eight-section brocade” to send the message that a healthy body will guarantee the construction safety, which successfully broke the Guinness World Records.

 

For years, CWE Hong Kong, with a responsible attitude to the company and the employees, has been exerting itself to implement the idea of safety management on basis of continuous system optimization. This award of the Guinness World Records reflected the company’s valuing of safety construction and care for the health of each employee. CWE Hong Kong will continue to promote the idea of construction safety, build up a safe-construction culture, and realize the goal of zero accident on site for the continuity of steady and sound construction in this region.
