Inauguration of Motorway (M4) held in Pakistan

The inauguration Ceremony of the Faisalabad-Khanewal-Motorway Package-I: Faisalabad-Gojra Section (58km) was grandly held at Gojra, where the project ends at, in Pakistan on 16 March, 2015, which was attended by the Punjab governor, the Minister of Communications of Pakistan, the Chairman of National Highway Authority (NHA), and influential local representatives.


At the ceremony, the Chairman of NHA referred to the project as an important component of the national highway network, which greatly improved local traffic conditions and promoted the economic development. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to CWE for its quality and efficient completion of the Project. The ceremony reached a climax in the ribbon-cutting and plate-unveiling by the Punjab governor and closed in a warm and friendly atmosphere.


The Project is the first expressway project undertaken by a Chinese company in Pakistan. Of a total length of 58km, it was commenced in February 2010.
