Update:2015-07-21

The No.2 unit of the KALETA Hydroelectric Project undertaken by CWE in Guinea has successfully gone through the 72-hour trial operation at 15:16 local time on 22 June, 2015. The unit was operating stably and normally, then connected to the grid at 16:46 local time on 23 June, 2015 after being thoroughly checked.

The first unit (No.3) of the project has been put into operation on 28 May, 2015, which has changed the history of power outages for several times or even dozens of times a day in the capital Conakry, alleviated the power shortage in Guinea, and  won a good reputation for the company. Currently, the No.3 unit runs smoothly with an accumulative power generation of 28.67 million kWh; the operation of the No.2 unit brings another pleasant surprise to the Guinean people, who is now looking forward to the power generation of the No.1 unit as early as possible.

At the approaching of the rainy season in Guinea, the power generation of the two units on schedule has increased the utilization of water resources of the project, greatly improved the power shortage in Guinea, and brought good economic and social benefits to the local society.
