CWE listed in Top 100 Chinese contractors for 20th time

Update:2016-02-05

The Top lists for 100 largest Chinese contractors at abroad based on turnover and newly-signed contract value respectively were released by the Ministry of Commerce of China on February 3, 2016. CWE ranks 11th with a turnover of USD 1.50764 billion, which is one place up from last year, and 36th with a newly-signed contract value of USD 1.10218 billion.

The year 2015 witnessed sluggish economic growth worldwide, stagnant international contracting markets, and intense competition. To adapt to the new situation, CWE fully utilized the advantages of CTG in capital, technology, and professionals and strictly controlled operational risks to achieve steady growth in all respects. In 2015, CWE successfully completed many significant works, including the Kaleta Hydroelectric Project in Guinea, the Nam Ngiep 2 Hydropower Project in Laos, and the Canar Flood Control Project in Ecuador; it also signed many new contracts over USD 100 million in contract value, such as the Suniyani Water Supply Project in Ghana. In its overseas investment projects, CWE has achieved a total installation of 280MW by the end of 2015, successfully fulfilling goals of the “12th Five-Year Plan”. The newly signed 1.38 billion worth Souapiti Hydroelectric Project in Guinea in January, 2016 marked that the “13th Five-Year Plan” got off on a good start.

Based on statistics of the Ministry of Commerce of China, there are in total 4068 Chinese companies involved in international contracting. CWE has been on the Top 100 lists for 20 times with good rankings.
