Emergency response drill conducted in Laos
An emergency response drill was conducted for the Xiengkhuang to Naxaythong 500kV Transmission Line Project by the project preparatory group in accordance with its emergency plan against possible contingencies on site with a view to improving response capacity as well as the emergency plan.
The drill kicked off at 9 a.m. during the routine surveying work. When abnormities were found, the employees responded immediately and the dangerous area was evacuated in the first minute. While being evacuated, drill participators cooperated closely with each other for the whole tense and orderly process, achieving the desired effect of the drill.
As the approaching of the Buddhist new year and the worsening of security situation in northern Laos, the preparatory group heightened security and organized this drill to ensure the site safety and work progress. Through the drill, the project teamwork ability was improved and each participator got more knowledge on emergency procedures and self-protection capabilities in the face of unexpected incidents.
