A drill on earthquake and tsunami launched in Peru
As part of its annual working plan, CWE’s project management of the Shouxin Global Exploitation of Mining Tailings Project launched an emergency drill against earthquake and tsunami on June 16, 2016.
The drill kicked off at 10 a.m. As the alarm was rung by the safety personnel, all employees were swiftly evacuated in order from their positions to the designated assembly areas. Afterwards, the project safety engineer introduced in details to all participants knowledge on how to protect themselves during earthquakes and tsunamis. The drill wrapped up at 10:30.
Since Peru is located on the Circum-Pacific seismic belt, which is prone to earthquake, CWE’s project management places high emphasis on safe production. Through this exercise, all employees got familiarized with relevant knowledge on emergency response to natural disasters, which ensured the safe and orderly execution of the project.
