National Science and Technology Week
Recently, the Nam Lik 1-2 Hydropower Station in Laos (hereafter referred to as “the Station”), in line with the 2024 “National Science and Technology Week” initiative by the China Communications Construction Company Science Association and in accordance with corporate scheduling, hosted an educational activities titled “Explore the Hydropower Station.” Student representatives from Pak Ngua School were invited to participate.
During the activities, the Station's engineers provided the students with a comprehensive overview of the hydropower facility. They vividly explain the principles of hydroelectric power generation by videos and PowerPoint presentations. Students were also given a tour of the plant and dam, where they had the opportunity to observe the hydro turbines, central control room, and key infrastructural facilities up close.
The students showed a keen interest in the hydroelectric power generation process. They expressed that the detailed explanations and on-site visits allowed them to gain a more tangible understanding of clean energy and the power of modern technology. They also profoundly realized the importance of clean electricity in environmental protection.
