Recently, CWE Guinea received a succession of letters of appreciation from the Ministry of Energy, Hydropower and Hydrocarbons and L'Electricité De Guinée (EDG), which highly recognized its outstanding contributions in ensuring the safe and stable operation of the local power system, promoting the development of the local power industry and social and economic development, and actively fulfilling its social responsibilities.

The Kaleta Hydropower Station and Souapiti Hydropower Station, built, invested and operated by the company, are important power sources in Guinea, with an annual power supply of about 2.4 billion kWh. In 2024, the power supply of the power stations accounted for approximately 75% of Guinea’s total annual power generation. With its professional and efficient technical support and services, CWE Guinea has effectively guaranteed the safe and stable operation of two hydropower stations and the backbone grid, helped Guinea achieve electricity export for the first time, and effectively promoted the positive development of the local power industry.

CWE Guinea has always adhered to a high sense of social responsibility and paid close attention to the local people's livelihood. Relevant efforts include selecting and training technical personnel through cooperation with the Confucius Institute at the UGANC, organizing the “Grow with the Dam” open day event, donating materials and providing assistance to the local community, which have effectively demonstrated the corporate responsibility and promoted the cultural exchanges between China and Guinea.
