On March 28, CWE Guinea mobilized Chinese and Guinean employees for a beach cleanup campaign themed “LA TERRE EST NOTRE FOYER, PRESERVONS-LA TOUS ENSEMBLE” (Protect the Environment, Protect Our Home) at a beach near the camp in Conakry, Capital of Guinea, protecting the marine environment and advocating environmental awareness through practical actions, actively practicing the corporate social responsibility.

On that day, nearly 30 Chinese and Guinean employees, equipped with trash cans and other cleaning tools, meticulously cleared plastic bottles, packaging bags, discarded fishing gear, and other debris scattered across the beach. This beach area serves as a recreational site for local residents. However, the surge of visitors frequently leads to incidents of casually discarded trash and environmental damage. Alongside the beach cleanup campaign, the employees also educated passing tourists about environmental protection, promoted the importance of marine ecosystem conservation, thereby helping the public foster a conscious awareness of caring for the environment and protecting the ocean, and reducing marine pollution at the source.

The campaign received enthusiastic response and participation from both Chinese and Guinean employees. It not only raised the environmental awareness of the team, conveyed positive energy of caring for the environment and protecting nature, but also strengthened communication and exchanges among Chinese and Guinean employees, demonstrating the spirit of collaborative teamwork. Taking the activity as an opportunity, CWE Guinea will further enhance communication and interaction with the surrounding communities and continuously organize diverse social public welfare activities to demonstrate the responsibility and commitment of a Chinese enterprise.
