Recently, the volunteer team of CWE Hong Kong joined hands with Foodlink Foundations to organize a community outreach and care initiative, providing tangible support to underprivileged groups and spreading warmth throughout the society.

　　During this initiative, the members of the volunteer team worked in an orderly and well-coordinated manner. They counted daily necessities including rice, flour, grain and cooking oil one by one before carefully packaging these heartfelt supplies into “Care Packages”. These thoughtfully prepared packages serve not only as warm provisions that help safeguard people’s livelihood, but also embody CWE’s sincere concern for the general public.

　　On the morning of April 1, the volunteer team went to Kwun Tong Community and distributed “Care Packages” one by one to the elderly and underprivileged groups in need. In addition to distributing supplies, the members of the volunteer team also took time to inquiry about beneficiaries’ living conditions and attentively listen to their actual needs. An elderly beneficiary living alone held the hands of a volunteer tightly and said emotionally that these supplies were a timely help and their concern made him feel warm.

　　The initiative benefited hundreds of elderly residents and people in need in Kwun Tong Community, and the volunteer team was highly recognized by the Foodlink Foundation and the Kwun Tong Community for its conscientious and responsible attitude. Following the activity, the Foundation presented the volunteer team with a Certificate of Appreciation to recognize the selfless dedication of the team and encourage CWE to continue to engage in charity work. In the future, CWE Hong Kong will uphold the spirit of volunteerism, join efforts with all sectors to launch more diverse public welfare activities, closely link the high-quality development of its business in Hong Kong with the well-being of Hong Kong people, and contribute more to the development of people’s livelihood and economic development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
