Release time:2026-03-31

Recently, the Ulu Padas Hydroelectric Project received a letter of thanks from Kungkular Village in Sabah, Malaysia. The letter expressed sincere gratitude for the Project’s assistance in resolving waterlogging issues during the flood season.
Previously, affected by continuous rainfall and clogged drainage systems, some sections of the ditches in Kungkular Village became severely blocked, causing rainwater to overflow and backflow into low-lying areas, which brought great inconvenience and safety risks to local villagers’ production and daily life. Upon learning of the situation, the Project Team responded promptly by mobilizing machinery and construction personnel to carry out dredging work. Following intensive efforts, the blocked ditches were fully unclogged, and the village’s waterlogging problem was effectively addressed.
The Village Chief of Kungkular Village expressed in the letter that the Project had addressed the villagers’ most urgent needs with concrete actions, fully demonstrating the company's sense of responsibility and care for the community. This collaboration has not only effectively improved local drainage conditions but also further consolidated the strong relationship between the enterprise and the local community. He expressed hope that both sides would deepen cooperation in more areas concerning people’s livelihoods in the future, fostering synchronized and harmonious development between the community and the enterprise.
