Wan Qizhou Meets with Sudan’s Minister of Energy and Oil

 On August 29, Wan Qizhou, the General Manager of CWE, met with Sudan’s Minister of Energy and Oil, Mohieddin Al-Naeem, at the Sudanese Embassy in China. The meeting focused on deepening business cooperation in Sudan.
 
Wan Qizhou outlined CWE’s developmental journey and current operations in Sudan, expressing gratitude for the longstanding support from the Minister of Energy and Oil. He emphasized that Sudan had been a key market for CWE, and the company highly prioritized its business development there. Looking ahead, Leveraging CCCC’s full industry chain advantages in sectors such as transportation, clean energy, water resource management, water treatment, ports, and urban infrastructure reconstruction. CWE hopes to expand its operations in Sudan and contribute further to local community welfare.
Minister Mohieddin Al-Naeem commended CWE’s achievements in Sudan, particularly highlighting the significant contributions of projects like the Merowe Dam and the Dam Complex of Upper Atbara Project to the socio-economic development of the region. He noted the deep-rooted friendship and solid cooperation foundation between China and Sudan. With Sudan experiencing a surge in demand for electricity and new energy, the Minister expressed a desire for CWE to increase its investment of high-quality resources, continue expanding cooperation areas, and strengthen practical cooperation to achieve substantial mutual benefits.
Relevant personnel from CWE’s Market Development Department also participated in the discussion.
