On September 6, Shi Yingtao, Vice Chairman of CWE, engaged in discussions with Mamadou Ndao, the General Secretary of AGEROUTE Senegal, who was in China to attend the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. The talks centered on deepening cooperation between the two entities.
Shi expressed gratitude for the support and assistance provided by AGEROUTE Senegal and outlined CWE’s history and operations in Senegal. He noted that CWE had been active in the Senegalese market for many years, establishing a solid and extensive cooperative foundation with AGEROUTE Senegal and constructing a number of landmark highway projects that have earned widespread acclaim. Shi expressed the company’s desire to continue leveraging its technical expertise and high-quality services to explore further the “Photovoltaic + Highway” development model with AGEROUTE Senegal. He also conveyed eagerness to participate in the construction of hydropower, new energy, and other infrastructure sectors to significantly enhance Senegal’s socio-economic development.
Mamadou Ndao commended CWE’s achievements and performance in Senegal, acknowledging the deep-rooted friendship between China and Senegal and recognizing CWE as a key strategic partner in Senegal’s transportation infrastructure sector. As the Senegalese government is currently drafting the “Senegal Vision 2050,” CWE will continue deploying its technological strengths to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors, including hydropower, new energy, and infrastructure, aiming to achieve more pragmatic outcomes in bilateral cooperation.
Before the talks, Shi accompanied Ndao on a tour of the CCCC exhibition hall.
The meeting was also attended by members of CWE’s Market Development Department and the Senegal branch.
