On September 5, Shi Yingtao, Vice Chairman of CWE, along with the visiting Ghanaian Minister of State at the Energy Ministry, Hebert Krapa, engaged in in-depth discussions to deepen cooperation. Wang Yongtian, CWE’s Deputy General Manager, and Samuel Kofi Ahiave Dzamesi, Chief Executive Officer of the Bui Power Authority in Ghana, also participated in the talks.
Shi expressed gratitude for the Ghanaian Energy Ministry’s support and interest in CWE’s operations in Ghana, outlining CWE’s developmental journey and business achievements. He highlighted that CWE had been deeply involved in the Ghanaian market for many years, successfully implementing over 40 projects across various sectors including water supply, canals, roads, and electrification. CWE looked forward to strengthening cooperation with the Ghanaian Energy Ministry on hydropower, photovoltaic, and other clean energy projects to support Ghana’s sustainable development with clean, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions.
Hebert Krapa praised CWE’s achievements in Ghana, noting the deep friendship and solid cooperation foundation between the people of China and Ghana. With Ghana’s economy showing strong growth and a commitment to developing clean energy, aiming for a net-zero emission target by 2060, Krapa recognized CWE as a reliable partner in Ghana’s clean energy development. He expressed hope that CWE will continue to leverage its technical expertise to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors, aiming to achieve more pragmatic results in bilateral collaboration.
Officials from various departments of the Ghanaian Energy Ministry, the Bui Power Authority, and relevant company departments participated in the discussions.
