At the ceremony, Mr. Govindranath Gunness said that the project, an important channel for local religious pilgrimage, was opened ahead of schedule on the eve of Maha Shivaratri, the largest Hindu festival. Its early opening was of great significance in that it greatly alleviated the transportation pressure caused by the mass population movement in the area, and effectively guaranteed the development of major local traditional activities. He appreciated CWE’s performance ability and technical strength, and spoke highly of high-quality and high-standard construction of the project.

The Project lies in the Black River Gorges National Park in the south of Mauritius. Road B103 is an important artery for local tourism. During the construction process, the project team overcame many challenges such as complex terrain and geology in the mountainous area, sensitive ecological environment, capricious climate and heavy rainfall, and difficult design adjustments. Nevertheless, it ensured the progress and quality of the project by optimizing the technical scheme and construction process.
