On March 17 (local time), H.E. Mohamed Arkab, Algerian Minister of Energy and Mining, inspected the 780MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Project (Lot 1) (hereinafter referred to as "the Project”) constructed by CWE.
Arkab attentively listened to the presentation of the Employer’s representative on project status and construction progress, and commended the achievements made to date. He then signed the minutes of the event and sealed them in a commemorative stone tablet, symbolizing the formal acknowledgment and documentation of the project progress. As one of the first major projects in Algeria’s renewable energy strategy, the Project is designed to help Algeria achieve energy transition, improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. At the same time, the construction of this Project marks a key move for CWE to enter the Algerian PV market. In the future, CWE will further strengthen the overall planning and fine management of the Project to ensure efficient construction progress, facilitating the timely completion and commissioning of the Project.
