On April 9, the Leribe District Diversion Adit Design and Construction Project in Lesotho (hereinafter referred to as “Leribe District Diversion Adit Project”), undertaken by CWE, kicked off officially at the project site. The ceremony was attended by more than 100 participants.
Moment at the Event
In his speech, H.E. Mohlomi Moleko, Minister of Natural Resources of Lesotho, said that it was inspiring that CWE, an experienced company, was contracted to build the Leribe District Diversion Adit Project. He urged the contractor to strictly follow relevant technical standards of southern Africa during construction. H.E. Paola Amadei, an EU Representative, spoke highly of CWE’s proven track record in project execution and operational capabilities, expressing confidence in the high-quality and timely completion of the project. Mr. Joel Mosoene, Principal Chief of Leribe District, emphasized that the project will bring tangible benefits to the local communities upon completion. He hoped that the project would proceed smoothly until its successful completion. At the ceremony, a representative of CWE Mauritius affirmed the company’s commitment to fulfilling all contractual obligations, executing the project to the highest standards with efficiency, and ensuring the safe, high-quality, and timely delivery of the project.

CWE Representative Addresses the Audience
As an integral part of the Lesotho Lowlands Water Supply Development Project Phase II, the Leribe District Diversion Adit Project is designed to enhance water source support capacity for local water treatment plants and improve the stability of the water supply system. Upon completion, the project will significantly improve water access for residents in the Leribe District and provide strong support for enhancing the water resource security in Lesotho.
