Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Reconstruction of the 161kV Anvomoso to Kumasi Transmission Line in Ghana

    On July 8, the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Reconstruction of the 161kV Anvomoso to Kumasi Transmission Line in Ghana (hereinafter referred to as the "Project"), undertaken by China International Water & Electric Corp. (CWE), was held. The event was attended by key local government officials, including Ghana's Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor, and the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, as well as representatives from the investing parties.
  

Speech by the Minister of Energy and Green Transition of Ghana

  In his speech, Dr. Jinapor highlighted that Kumasi, Ghana’s second-largest city, still faces challenges with power supply reliability and voltage stability. The implementation of this Project will significantly enhance the safety and stability of the local power grid, improve the city’s electricity supply capacity, and provide more reliable energy for daily life and production. The Project will also play a key role in helping Ghana achieve its green energy transition goals.

   

    Soil-turning Ceremony

  This Project marks the first transmission and transformation project undertaken by CWE in Ghana, significantly contributing to the diversification of the company’s business in the country. Going forward, the Project Management Department will focus on construction efforts, leveraging technical strengths to establish a strong brand presence in Ghana's transmission and transformation market. By delivering high-quality performance, CWE aims to expand its development prospects in Ghana.
