Good News | HK Branch Volunteer Team Receives the Construction Industry Volunteering Special Commendation

  Recently, at the 2025 Construction Industry Volunteer Award Ceremony hosted by the Hong Kong Construction Industry Council, the volunteer team of CWE Hong Kong Branch was honored with the "Special Commendation for First-Time Participating Organization".

  As a major annual event in Hong Kong's volunteering sector, the "Construction Industry Volunteer Awards" aim at commending the outstanding construction organizations and individuals, guiding the industry in actively fulfilling its social responsibilities and promoting the spirit of dedication. The awards introduce a rigorous selection process, which not only evaluates the number of activities participated, total service hours, and volunteer engagement, but also focusing on the professionalism, innovation, and positive social impact of the volunteering initiatives.

  Since its establishment in May 2024, the Hong Kong Branch Volunteer Team has organized 10 volunteer activities, contributing a total of 475 service hours with 127 participants. These initiatives covered a wide range of areas including environmental protection, elderly assistance, community care, and educational support, with remarkable results achieved. Supported by a well-structured institutional framework and guided by the brand ethos of “Hydropower Blue, Regional Red”, the team has been fully committed to its public welfare mission, widely promoting the spirit of public service and effectively mobilizing community participation. These efforts have significantly raised public awareness and recognition of social responsibility.
  This award represents the high recognition of the outstanding performance demonstrated by the Hong Kong Branch Volunteer Team over the past year since its establishment, highlighting its dedication and potential in the field of social welfare.
