On the morning of October 17, the Kaysakat Water Supply Tunnel Design and Construction Project in the Philippines undertaken by the Company was successfully holed through, marking a major breakthrough in the main works construction of the project.

　　Since the project launched its "Six-Month Intensive Push for Full Connection" campaign in March this year, the project team has carried forward the spirit of unity, hard work, and overcoming difficulties. With strong support from leaders at all levels of the Group and the Company, the team has successively overcome multiple construction challenges, including major water inrush, through scientific organization and fine management. By continuously optimizing resource allocation, improving work sequence coordination, and strengthening safety and material support, the TBM speed repeatedly hit new highs. The monthly progress exceeded 700 meters for two consecutive months and reached 714 meters in August, setting a new record for single-month construction with 3-meter-class small-diameter double-shield TBMs in the industry, fully demonstrating the Company's advanced technical capabilities in tunnel construction.

　　This connection lays a solid foundation for comprehensively accelerating subsequent construction of the project. The Project Management Department will continue to advance project construction with high standards and quality to ensure the project is completed on schedule, safeguard water supply security in the Philippine capital region, improve local livelihood standards, and contribute more Chinese solutions to cooperation in the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
