Recently, CWE’s Turgusun Hydropower Station in Kazakhstan was specifically acknowledged by President Xi Jinping. During his state visit to Kazakhstan and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit, media platforms such as CGTN (China Global Television Network), CHINA DAILY, and Global Times focused on “Turgusun Hydropower Station as a Witness to China-Kazakhstan Renewable Energy Cooperation” and “CCCC’s Involvement in Kazakhstan’s Clean Energy Development”. Coverage spanned various formats including video interviews, articles, and short videos, broadcast across television screens and media platforms globally, increasing the visibility of CCCC’s proactive initiatives and significant achievements in Sino-Kazakh mutually beneficial cooperation.
On July 1, Ambassador Zhang Xiao of China to Kazakhstan, in an exclusive interview with Global Times, stated, “China-Kazakhstan capacity cooperation meets the developmental needs of both sides, with an early start, solid foundation, and robust mechanisms, leading to fruitful outcomes. In recent years, within the framework of high-quality joint construction of the ‘Belt and Road’, several premium new energy cooperation projects have been successfully launched and operated in Kazakhstan. Projects like Zhanatas Wind Farm, Turgusun Hydropower Station, and Akmola State Wind Project are providing strong momentum for Kazakhstan’s economic development and low-carbon transition.”
