As part of the efforts to support the Belt and Road Initiative, further promote the cultural exchanges and enhance the people-to-people ties between China and Guinea, CWE Guinea organized an open day themed “Grow with the Dam” at the Souapiti Hydropower Station (hereinafter referred to as the “Power Station”). The event was participated by more than 50 representatives of teachers and students from Fatra High School of Conakry, Guinea.

On that day, local staff of the power station led the students to visit the Souapiti Dam, powerhouse, central control room and other facilities, and gave a detailed introduction to the construction process and operation of the power station, as well as its important role in improving Guinea's power supply, allowing students to understand and experience the clean energy power generation process at close range.

The visitors said that this event made them deeply understand the importance of the power station to the social and economic development of Guinea. In the hall of the Souapiti powerhouse, students left their wishes on the message board with colorful brushes to express their admiration for the power station and their best wishes for the friendship between the two nations.

The open day event brought a memorable learning experience to local teachers and students, further drew the company closer to the local community, conveyed the concept of green and sustainable development that the company has been adhering to, and effectively demonstrated the CWE’s positive corporate brand image of actively fulfilling its responsibilities.
