Recently, the Rucalhue Hydropower Project in Chile (hereinafter referred to as "the Project") donated firewood to the local Mapuche indigenous community, bringing winter warmth to the residents.

A total of 10,000 cords of firewood were delivered to the community during this initiative. José Mariluan, the community leader, expressed gratitude on behalf of the local residents for the project team’s goodwill action and stated their willingness to enhance communication and collaboration with the team, and promote the integration of project construction with community welfare efforts to jointly contribute to the local well-being.
Located on the Biobío River in the south-central Region VIII of Chile, the Project has a total installed capacity of 90 MW and is designed to generate an average of 441 million kWh of electricity annually. Once completed, it will significantly support Chile in achieving its carbon neutrality goals. Since the commencement of the Project, the project team has actively fulfilled its social responsibilities, as they donated traditional costumes and musical instruments to the local Pehuenche indigenous community to help preserve their traditional folk culture. In addition, the project team places high importance on biodiversity conservation in the region and strictly follows ecological protection plans to protect the local environment.
