On June 5, World Environment Day, the Ding’an Agricultural Pollution Operations and Maintenance Project Department in Hainan Province proactively embraced the theme of “Advancing the Beautiful China Initiative”for the day. In collaboration with the County Ecological Environment Bureau and the Water Affairs Bureau, the department initiated environmental activities such as “Approaching Agricultural Pollution” and “Corporate Science Education in Schools” to enhance public environmental awareness, fulfill the social responsibilities of a enterprise, and contribute to the beautiful new chapter of Hainan, China.
The Ding’an Agricultural Pollution Project, the company’s inaugural domestic environmental water management project, is pivotal for enhancing rural living conditions and propelling the Rural Revitalization Strategy. During the “Approaching Agricultural Pollution” Corporate Open Day event, environmental engineers from the project provided explanations to visiting students and villagers about the wastewater treatment process, and comparative water quality before and after treatment, offering an “immersive” experience of the project’s cleaning capabilities and deepening their scientific understanding of wastewater management.
After the site visit, the project department conducted the “Corporate Science Education in Schools” event at the nearby Pozhai School in Fuwen Town, offering an innovative practical lesson to over 50 middle school students. Through environmental documentaries, mini-lectures on environmental conservation, water purification experiments, and knowledge quizzes, students were educated on wastewater treatment and waste sorting. They assembled simple water purifiers to witness the transformation of wastewater into clean water and actively engaged in the knowledge quiz. In his closing address, Huang Kechun, emphasized that the event not only imparted the significance of environmental protection and planetary care but also encouraged students to embrace green living practices.
Throughout the event, the project department donated a range of environmental facilities, educational supplies, and sports equipment to Pozhai School, bolstering educational development and fostering a superior learning environment for the children. Chen He, the Mayor of Fuwen Town, Ding’an County, expressed his appreciation for the company’s support and assistance, highlighting that the event significantly elevated public awareness of environmental conservation and that the donations were instrumental in advancing local educational endeavors.
