Wan Qizhou Meets with Ghana's Minister of Finance and Minister for Roads and Highways

  On June 24, Wan Qizhou, Chairman of China International Water & Electric Corp. (CWE), met in Beijing with a delegation from Ghana led by Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Minister of Finance of Ghana, and Kwame Governs Agbodza, Minister for Roads and Highways of Ghana. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation in infrastructure, energy, and other sectors. Also present at the meeting were Xiong Yuanlong, Chief Accountant and General Counsel, and Zheng Yu, Deputy General Manager of CWE.

 

  Wan thanked Ghana's Minister of Finance and Minister for Roads and Highways for their long-standing trust and support, and provided a comprehensive overview of CWE's business development in Ghana. He emphasized that the company places great importance on the Ghanaian market, highlighting the deep foundation of cooperation and the fruitful results already achieved. CWE is actively pursuing projects in Ghana's water resources, energy, new clean energy, and infrastructure sectors. Wan expressed CWE's intention to further expand cooperation by leveraging its technical expertise and experience, aiming to inject new momentum into the development of China-Ghana friendly relations.
  Ministers Forson and Agbodza expressed their appreciation for CWE's active role in Ghana's energy and infrastructure development over the years. They praised the company's professional expertise demonstrated in its project implementation. Both ministers noted the strong bilateral relationship between China and Ghana, with remarkable achievements from practical cooperation. They highlighted that the Ghanaian government is implementing proactive measures to accelerate economic recovery, which is gaining strong momentum. The ministers expressed their expectation that CWE would continue to utilize its professional strengths to deepen its involvement in Ghana's infrastructure development, thereby advancing bilateral cooperation and promoting the economic and social development of both countries.
  Representatives from CWE's Market Development Department, Investment Department, Finance Department, and Ghana Engineering Limited also attended the discussions.
