Recently, CWE Hong Kong Branch was awarded dual certifications—the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) Scheme “A” Graduate Training in Civil Engineering and the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) “Manpower Developer” (MD) certification. This achievement highlights the Company’s outstanding performance in local talent cultivation and employee development system building, marking formal recognition from authoritative bodies.

The HKIE is the statutory professional body for engineers in Hong Kong. Its Scheme “A” Graduate Training provides an essential pathway for engineering graduates to become Registered Professional Engineers after joining a company, with stringent requirements for project resources, training systems, and mentor qualifications. The ERB “Manpower Developer” certification recognizes enterprises that excel in employee training and career development, setting high standards for training curriculum design, resource allocation, and outcome evaluation. The “Manpower Developer” certification obtained is a renewal, indicating that the Hong Kong Branch’s employee training and career development system has consistently met industry benchmarks.
In recent years, the Hong Kong Branch has steadily strengthened and optimized its talent development platform, building a diversified talent cultivation system that covers graduate training, apprenticeships, university-industry partnerships, and joint training with external institutions. Moving forward, the Branch will continue to advance employee training with higher standards, leverage its talent strengths to drive high-quality corporate development, and contribute to talent cultivation in Hong Kong’s engineering sector.
