Kinkon Hydropower Project, Guinea

The Kinkon Hydropower Project, built in the 1960s, is the first hydropower station supported by China in an African country, with a total installed capacity of 3.45MW. The image of the power station has been featured twice on the 5,000 Guinean franc banknote. It also marks the first time a CWE-built project has been featured on the currency of the host country.
